Firstly I would like to explain how the Yahoo group application works and how we plan to go forward with No More ANIMAL ABUSE (SA) CLUB.

YAHOO Group is an email application where if you send a message it reaches all the members of the group.  I’d like to request though that no sensitive information be sent to the group but emailed directly to the following email address:  dogfight@axxess.co.za.

Our club has a National Committee  which comprises of the following;

• President
• Chair Person
• Sub Chair Person (?)
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Communications officer
• And 5 additional members.

 We are going to start a committee in each town which will be called a “kennel” which will comprise of the following:

• Chair Person
• Secretary
• Communications Officer
• 3 additional members.

 The following will be expected of the “kennel members” 

 v  Internet access and

v  Skype

 To enable the members to have electronic meetings.

 As the club grows, new members will be added to the kennel in his/her area and he/she will join the meetings and activities of that kennel.  Once a kennel has been raised, the members will choose their own committees.

 All members should be aware that they will be working with sensitive material.  They must ensure that the kennel is well organized, as the dog-fighting syndicates are well funded and organized.  

 Registration numbers will be allocated to the kennels which will run on the old vehicle registration system, i.e. Kennel Port Elizabeth will be Kennel CB; Kennel Durban will be Kennel Nd and Pretoria will be Kennel TP, etc.

The national emergency number and email address will be manned 24 hours for information from the public.

Once a kennel has received the information, the Chair person of the specific area will be notified who in turn will advise his members.  The kennel will investigate the allegation received and open a docket for the incident.

The following can be done during the investigation:

1. Photo’s of the address in question
2. Registration numbers of vehicles driven
3. Name of person if possible
4. Animals on property?

We have re-iterate that we are not the police and that we will not be able to do as we please.  We will get the necessary details and open a police docket with the relevant authorities and other organizations that are working towards ending dog-fighting syndicates.

We are a non-profit organization and we will act according to the laws of our country and there will be no short cuts taken.

Membership fees will be R10 per month and members will cover any expenditure that is incurred during an investigation.  Membership fees and expenditure will be discussed at a later date.
