Devastating !!!

It seems we can’t even always trust our vets! I found this post on another SA website:
Hi Everyone,

We are suppose to be able to trust vets. Yesterday we got the most disturbing calls of our lives. On the 14th of January 2012 we took our two 12 year old Belgian Shepherds Malinois (male and female) to be put to sleep at a certain vet (we can’t mention any names just as yet as the case is being investigated). We prepared our little 5 year old girl for over 6 months that the doggies are getting older and will be going to heaven soon. We made the decision as they became aggressive towards us and our other dogs and having young children we can’t take the risk. It was very traumatic for us, the vet was not in when we arrived but we were promised that the dogs will be put to sleep as soon as he got back in. The day afterwards the vet called us to find out if the family is ok etc. We told our little girl that the doggies went to heaven, it was lots of tears and we held a little memorial at home, picking flowers from the garden and painting stones with their names and hearts.

Yesterday was a nightmare, one call changed everything. We got a call from Roodepoort SPCA saying they found our Belgian Shepherd female in Soweto???? She was micro-chipped and that’s how they got our contact details. We could not believe it. We were in shock and disbelief, we drove through to the SPCA and there she was, our old lady. We paid the vet, he still called the next day to find out how the family is doing, we have got all the proof. But clearly the dogs were dumped in Soweto? Our male is still missing. What happened to him? Where is he? I would never wish this on any family.

After the case has been investigated I will be going to the newspapers and Carte Blanche with this, it is unacceptable.

Have you guys ever heard of something like this???
